Sebastian’s name was at the tip of her tongue, but she managed to evade on time. “No one. I’m just…missing it, I guess.”
Janice made noises of agreement. The topic shifted to sex in particular as the women began spilling out their dirtiest fantasy.
“Definitely the couch,” Hanna confessed. “I know you’d all expect me to say the bakery, but trust me—it’s very unsanitary. We’ve never done it on the couch because one of the parents is always home, so it’s something I want to try out.”
“Bathroom of a restaurant,” Janice said with relish. Everyone laughed, but she was adamant about it. “It’s the hottest thing ever, don’t you think? The guy will just have to slide my panties down and touch me there before he slides his thing in and takes me against the wall. It has to be quick, because we might end up getting caught.”
Lily’s mind supplied an image of her and a certain guy doing the same thing. She stuck her legs together as her belly quivered and a shot of fire went down. The women didn’t stop.
“The library,” Beth finally said after a moment’s hesitation, blushing furiously. “An exotic stranger who will read sonnets to me and sweep me off my feet.”
“And take you against the shelves,” Janice added.
“Or behind, against the ladder,” Hanna piped in.
The women howled as Beth coughed into her drink and turned redder. Lily grinned, patting the woman on the back to ease her coughing.
“My turn,” Darla announced, blonde hair swaying. “I would love to do it…in a tent on a camping trip. Particularly with Pastor Seb.”
Janice groaned. “Stop. You’re supplying me with unwanted visions of my cousin.”
Darla grinned. “It’s fantasy. I can dream. We all know we’d love to hit that.”
“Oh, yeah,” Hanna agreed. “One night of wild, wild passion.”
The truth of the matter was, so did Lily.
“How about you?” Darla turned to Lily.
Lily sipped at her drink first to avoid spilling out the truth. “Car, most definitely.”
The women cheered again, and the stories went on. A certain bond between the women grew that day between the five of them. Lily felt it and it made her feel a little more at home. She felt accepted, felt like she belonged with them and for the first time in a while, felt contentment with her decision to come here. The food and drinks kept coming, with Ned keeping the alcohol at a minimum until he finally reminded them that the place was about to open for the big boys in less than two hours and they really should get home. They all thanked him—a bit tipsily—and promised him that they would be able to go home safely, since Beth and Hanna hadn’t really drunk much.
They waved their goodbyes and Beth and Hanna drove the women off. Lily took a ride with Beth and Janice and Janice was still crooning the jukebox songs by the time they got her home. She gave them a fuzzy smile and told them to behave, and finally, Beth asked Lily where she wanted to be dropped off.
Lily smiled, knowing exactly where she wanted to be dropped off. She’d been aware of where he was going to be for the rest of the week by word of mouth.
“Church. I need to make a confession,” Lily said honestly.
Beth’s eyes twinkled, not getting it. “All right. If you say so.”
They chatted more about books, and Lily felt like she was floating on air as the alcohol got into her system. But she wasn’t so drunk that she didn’t know what she was doing—just enough to give her the courage for what she was about to do next.
All her life, she’d always followed the rules. She’d always run away from things that scared her, and it was time to stop that.
Her feelings for Sebastian scared her—an exhilarating combination of desire and yearning. Based on last night, she was pretty sure it wasn’t one-sided.
And it was time to act on it.
The good pastor wanted her, but he wasn’t going to do anything about it. So she was going to have to do the seducing.
Consequences be damned.
CHAPTER NINE
Confession is good for the soul, they say. I'd imagine this is true. But my sins were too convoluted. And from the little I understand—too damning. ― Kate Karyus Quinn
It had been yet another busy day as Sebastian took over with Reverend John’s tasks, as the reverend had to attend a hosted party out of town with the mayor and would not be around for the next few days. The pastors took care of what the reverend usually did, such as his daily classes and visiting. William was in charge of the schedule, while Sebastian stayed at the church ready to offer comfort or advice to anyone in need who might stop by. Sometimes people were troubled and needed to talk about it. Almost like confession in the Catholic Church, and Sebastian was so good at making people feel comfortable and able to talk about things that they’d done that they were sorry for and help them figure out how to make amends.
As it turned out, a lot of the townspeople felt they had ‘sinned’, from the minor to the major ones. He’d discovered far more about the people than he’d expected, such as the loneliness of a woman who looked all too happy on the outside and the infidelity of a husband who seemed to dote on his wife.
It simply meant what you saw on the outside wasn’t everything.
He had just finished a visit with a man who was having sexual feelings for his secretary and was afraid he might act on them and was thinking over what he and the man had talked about when a knock came at his office door. Sighing he called, “who is it?”
A voice answered, “I need to talk to a pastor”.
Sebastian froze at the voice. His surprise turned to shock as he recognized it as Lily’s.
“Come in” he said as he got up to open the door. Lily came in and sat down looking a bit nervous.
“I didn’t know you were the one here today”, she said shyly.
He didn’t say anything at first. “Reverend John had to go take care of a situation so I agreed to do pastoral care duty today” he replied softly. ‘Can I help you Lily?’
Finally, Lily spoke.
“I’ve been…having thoughts about a man, Pastor. A forbidden man, one I shouldn’t even be thinking about.”
There was a second where his whole body tensed as his brain caught up to process her words. His mind finally registered them, and he cleared his throat as it suddenly became dry.
“What kind of thoughts are they?”
She sighed, a soft sound that had him hardening in his pants.
“Naughty thoughts, Pastor. Thoughts about the things I want to do with him.”
Desire flooded his system, as quick as a lightning bolt intent on burning him with its heat. His hands suddenly felt clammy, and his mind was screaming at him to do something about it—to put a stop to this, to tell her to leave, to simply make this end. The right thing to do was to tell her this was wrong.
He opened his mouth to say so. But it felt like his body was not his own as instinct took control and the words out of his mouth came different.
“What do you want to do with him?”
Her breath stopped, almost as if she wasn’t expecting it. Consciously, Sebastian shifted in his seat, his pants tight and his hands itching to move.
“I want to kiss him,” Lily confessed, her voice a mixture of need and raw honesty. “I want to glide my hands all over his body and make him groan, and…I want to feel him there. Where he’s hard and aching. I want to see it with my own eyes and…I want to taste it.”
Her words were driving him out of his mind, and the images it supplied nearly drove him to standing up and slamming the door open. He fisted his hand and gripped his thigh with all his strength, as if that would help him control himself.
“Do you mean his cock?” he rasped.
He heard her breath catch in her throat, and he leaned forward to hear her.
“Yes,” she whispered. “I want to taste his…his cock.”
Sebastian inwardly groaned. “And?”
“I want to ride him, anywhere he wants,
” she responded. One of her palms drifted towards him. Then she yanked it back, as if burned.
“I’m sorry,” she said suddenly, as she stood up. Panic was rising in her voice, even when she was still whispering. “I’ve had some drinks and…this is a bad idea.”
Sebastian stood up without thinking and came around the desk as Lily began to open the door. His hand shot out to grab her arm, pulling her back without much resistance. She did gasp, did try one attempt to pull back—but he pulled again, and she went to his arms without much resistance.
Lily’s head faced the door, as if she didn’t want to look at him. The feel of her body heat against his legs had his cock hardening even further, even more so when she squirmed against him. His hands went to her waist to hold her still, and she froze.
“Pastor Seb…” she trailed off, voice breathless.
Lily’s hair was tied up in a bun, and her neck was bare. Sebastian’s mouth found a spot and he kissed it lightly. Her jasmine scent smelled intoxicating.
“It’s Sebastian,” he whispered hoarsely, his lips continuing its assault.
One of her hands gripped her thigh, while her other went forward to place her palm on the closed door. He felt her pulse quickening, her body softening against his. Unable to help himself, one of Sebastian’s hand trailed down on top of her hand, trailing it down until it reached the edge of her skirt. His other hand reached beneath her top, touching skin that felt hot. He felt her stomach jump and heard a tiny gasp.
“Tell me if you want me to stop,” he murmured.
He heard no protest.
Taking that as permission, he let his hand trail higher beneath her top until his palm was spread wide over the underside of her breast. He changed his mind and removed it, then quickly slid her strap down, including the strap of her bra. He continued sliding it lower, all while his mouth kept kissing her, until the cup of her bra was exposed. Not stopping at all, he slid that down, until her breast was exposed in the air. He could only see the outline from his position, but it was enough for him to see her nipple, stiffened.
Sebastian covered it with his palm, groaning against her skin.
Her nipple puckered further under his ministration, and he let his thumb glide there, playing over and over until he felt her lean against him, heard a small moan come out of her lips. His other hand, which had stayed still on her thigh, moved her skirt higher.
Their harsh breaths were the only sounds he could hear in the small office and it only added to the erotic effect. He continued what he was doing, even while his other hand became busy sliding underneath her skirt, where he reached cotton panties. Fingers pushed against it, and he groaned further.
“You’re so wet,” he said.
Her breath hitched in response. Her hand reached behind to grab at his hair, and the move only thrust her breast out until he could see its shape fully. Reckless, impatient, Sebastian slid her panties aside and slid his hand in, where he touched her wetness.
Wet, and tight.
He could hear Lily whispering his name when he touched her, but for the life of him, he couldn’t hear much else. His action had her moving against him, but not in protest. Blind with need, driven by a desire so heavy, Sebastian did the only thing that his instincts commanded him to do—he thrust his finger in and out of her core, whispered in her ears the thing he wanted to do with her.
“God, Lily, I have to touch you.”
Lily turned her head towards the side, and he kissed her hungrily as he pushed his fingers in and out. His movements were deft and fast, and he used his tongue to coax hers out until they were swallowing each other’s quiet moans. This was his first kiss since entering the ministry, and it felt like his thirst was reaching out to grab him by the throat, demanding more.
So much more.
His other hand grew restless and circled her nipple repeatedly, and his other one deftly caressed her further inside to search for her g-spot. He knew he found it the moment he felt her tremble against him, her voice coming out in a rise of pleasure.
Everything felt hot, especially his need to take off his pants and slide his erection inside her warm slit. It would only take unzipping his pants and lifting her up to do so. But it was too late, because his fingers were already hitting her spot over and over until the movement was all but rocking her. He increased his pace and trailed his mouth to her ear and neck again, sucking on the skin there as his body moved in rhythm with her.
And then he felt it—her body tensing and her core clenching against his fingers. His hand on her breast slid up to cover her mouth just as she screamed, and suddenly he felt her warm fluid gush down his fingers.
He groaned against her neck, slid his hand down again to squeeze her breast. Lily slumped against him as her body absorbed the orgasm, keeping her high for a full minute before bringing her back down. Silence filled the room. He closed his eyes and tried to control his breathing, even while his raging hard on nudged insistently against her behind.
Eventually, he felt Lily finally coming down as she stopped leaning against him, her body leaning forward. The movement caused him to bite down his groan and his hand to tighten against her leg. He told himself to focus, to stop thinking about kissing her again.
Slowly, he slid her bra and top up, slid his fingers out of her slit. He removed his mouth from her skin, immediately missing her taste. Only when she was fully covered again did he speak, a soft whisper against her ear.
“You should go, Lily,” he murmured. “There can’t be more.”
Silence.
Then she nodded her head and stood up straight.
“I’m sorry.”
The door opened then closed, but Sebastian didn’t open his eyes as the scent of her orgasm filled the air. His hand shook against the urge to stroke his cock right there, and his mind raced with carnal thoughts of her—of taking her there inside his office, on his desk, sitting in his chair, against the wall, until they were both fully satisfied. So many thoughts, but a particular one preceded everything else.
What he did with Lily was wrong, so wrong. His promise to a life of celibacy…
And he wanted to do it all over again.
CHAPTER TEN
No matter how close, you are always too far. My eyes are drawn everywhere you are. – Cora Carmack
There was a camping trip scheduled for the next weekend, organized by Ethel Green and the Reverend for all the townspeople. Her uncle mentioned it once to her, and she made some excuse about having to do a huge cleanup so he wouldn’t expect her to come, and so far he hadn’t followed up. While everyone was busy waking up early to get themselves ready, Lily stayed in bed and slept in, intent on not going to the family event that would no doubt put her in contact with someone she didn’t want to see at the moment.
At all.
Six in the morning rolled around, and her uncle hadn’t texted her to check. Lily slept again and dreamed of flying cats, a very odd thing and one that had her wishing she owned one right now—so she could cuddle it, not so it could fly.
Thirty minutes after six, a knock sounded on her door. Then several knocks, then heavy pounding that had her shooting up from her bed as her eyes widened. Lily hurriedly got out of bed, stumbling out of sleepiness as she walked out of the bedroom and opened the door.
Janice was on the other side, hand poised mid-knock and raising a brow at her. “Why are you answering the door without asking who it is? I might have been some serial killer out to get you.”
Lily stifled a yawn. “There are no serial killers in Sunnydale.”
More voices penetrated her murky mind, and Lily blinked repeatedly until she could finally clear her head and look further. Behind Janice were her three other friends, looking at the house expectantly. Then, at her.
Lily’s eyes widened. “What are you guys doing here?”
Darla smiled brightly. “Checking out why you’re not yet ready for the camping trip.”
“How did you guys know I wasn’t ready?”
“Because we heard your excuse,” Beth supplied, peeking in. “And you look like you just got out of bed.”
Lily blinked. “How did you know—”
“And while you’re asking us all these questions,” Janice interrupted pleasantly, “how about we pack?”
And suddenly that was that. Lily was swarmed as they all marched in, staring at her expectantly to direct them to the bedroom. Shaking her head and smiling reluctantly, she directed them to the living room instead, asking them what they wanted for breakfast.
“I already ate at home,” Hanna said.
“Diet,” Darla said.
“Pack. Now,” Janice ordered.
Lily grumbled a bit, but they wouldn’t have any of it. In the end, she ended up stalking back to her bedroom and showering, then packing her stuff and getting into some outdoor clothes. When she got back out of her bedroom carrying her backpack, she found them all waiting patiently as they chatted to each other. The buzz stopped when she got out, and Darla eyed her from head to toe before nodding in satisfaction.
Lily eyed her back. “What is going on?”
“You’ll see. Come on.”
Then they were all dragging her to Beth’s car and making her wonder exactly what this was about.
*****
They were setting her up.
That much was clear the moment they arrived in the meeting area and she was basically nudged in the direction of the camping instructors, led by a guy Lily wasn’t sure she recognized. Not that it mattered, because Darla was suddenly doing the introductions just as the guy straightened up.
“Lily, I want you to meet Matthew Thompson. He’s my cousin and in town for the week. He has some experience with camping and was asked to be one of the guides. Matt, Lily’s the new girl I was telling you about.”
Matthew smiled warmly, revealing straight white teeth. He held out his hand, and Lily shook it. His hand was warm and felt strong, and to be polite, she smiled back at him.
Actually, he wasn’t bad looking. Matthew had wavy blond hair and gorgeous blue eyes, along with a physique that told her he worked out a lot. But the idea of being set up felt very awkward, and Lily made her feelings known by giving the women a side glare when Matthew wasn’t looking. Darla and Hanna merely grinned back while Beth pretended she didn’t see the glare. Janice sauntered over in her direction, waiting until Matthew got busy before whispering in her ear.
